Sumdog

There is a very neat website for the kids to practice math facts. It is called Sumdog. There are a bunch of fun (addicting) games on here. The kids each have their own log in code and password. Please allow the kids to play this at home. It tracks their progress and I can see how they are doing. As we will be transiting from the computers to iPads we will not be able to use this cite as much because it doesn't work on the iPads. The kids all love playing Sumdog. They think its just a fun game, but they are really working on math facts while doing it! http://www.sumdog.com/

Recap of the Day....Tuesday, September 4th (Written by the kids)

Today we learned about pioneers. We did a KWL chart for pioneers. We worked on our summer writing. Some people are working on their final copy of their writing. They are doing it on the computer. We had library check out and SMART today. We didn't have very much time to eat lunch. It was a busy place today! Thursday we will start our Apple Valley Unit. We will learn lots more about pioneers. We reviewed how to do read to partner during Daily 5. In math, we worked on our Whiz Kids, played a game on the iPod and did a math problem.
