100th Day

Today we celebrated the 100th day of school! We had so many fun activities we just couldn't fit them all in. We started the day by finishing up our 100 day crowns. While we finished coloring those Mrs. Naatjes' read a story called Happy 100th Day! After that we make a Fruit Loop necklace. We put 100 Fruit Loops on the necklace. Next we made a picture of what we would look like if we were 100 years old. We did a writing to go with our picture.

During math, we shared our collections. We noticed how different 100 could look. Some friends had mini marshmallows that didn't take up much space while 100 regular marshmallows did. It was cool to see the different ways 100 can look. Next we filled out a 100's chart and then played the game Rolling to 100.

Finally we finished up the day by learning about estimation. We estimated how many times we could do different things in 100 secords. Then we put our estimations to the test and did different times for 100 seconds. A few of the thigns we did were to see how many times we could clap, how many times we could count to 10 in 100 seconds, how many times we could hop up and down, how many times we could say the alphabet and a few other activities. Overall, we had a very fun and very BUSY 100th Day!
